Research Focus: Doctoral research project focuses on optimising intensive care (ICU) nurses' knowledge of evidence-based measures for preventing healthcare-associated infection. Website-based e-learning Crash Course that bundles all essentials of infection prevention. The current objective of the project is to investigate whether the Crash Course actually succeeds in enhancing knowledge. To test the course, the EVIDENCE Project is looking for nurses, physicians, students in nursing and medicine and other healthcare workers who are willing to study the course and to take three knowledge tests. Participants who complete the entire study path will receive a certificate of participation from the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) by whom the project is endorsed.
